Occupational Therapist

Merit Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our home health team in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Opportunities are available for part-time and shift work.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-home occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients referred by home health agencies and physicians
• Develop individualized care plans focused on functional improvement and independence
• Educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support daily living
• Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of patient progress

Qualifications:

• Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (home health experience preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Austin area
• CPR certification (preferred)
