As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Management (TPM), you will oversee post-facility medium and high voltage electrical systems/product upgrades and retrofits. You will build design teams, facilitate shared execution plans, and oversee design services for construction activities. You will understand design, construction, and new product development. You will proactively identify, organize, and lead program activities to deliver business, operational, and technical improvements. This involves scoping, phasing, and leading cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities- Identify stakeholders and work with them to strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria. Estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives within an organization.
- Monitor and communicate progress, and risks. Propose mitigation plans, and align stakeholders on de-risking strategies.
- Measure and publish program and process metrics to drive consensus in teams understanding of issues, and to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Leverage the continuous improvement approach including ability to identify and implement process improvements for the larger group or organization.
- Seek out and apply relevant best practices from other Google processes and technologies.
