As a CDL Driver, you'll be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to job sites and supporting logistics for turf and track installations. While your primary role is driving, you must have experience operating heavy equipment as you may occasionally be asked to assist with equipment operation. Additionally, you'll provide warehouse support to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive CDL Class A vehicles to deliver materials and equipment to job sites across the Southeast.
Transport materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Operate heavy equipment (e.g., skid steers, loaders, compactors) as needed to load/unload material and equipment on jobsites.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Assist with warehouse duties including organizing tools, prepping equipment, and handling materials during non-driving periods.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, equipment operation, and maintenance.
Follow DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and warehouse staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or athletic surface installation preferred but not required.
CDL Class A License required.
Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience.
Experience loading, unloading, and moving both flatbed and dry van trailers
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Proven experience operating heavy equipment required.
Basic warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing site needs.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions including heat, humidity, and rain.
Capable of standing, kneeling, squatting, and bending for extended periods.
Must be prepared for frequent travel and occasional overnight stays.
Company vehicle will be provided for traveling.
