Project Engineer

Project Engineer — Provision Group

Reports to: Project Manager & Superintendent
Location: Vancouver/PDX metro (on-site with local travel)
Compensation: $25–$30/hr; full-time (40 hrs/wk)

Role Summary

Keep projects moving by setting them up, coordinating pre-con items, supporting the team during construction, and closing the loop with external partners. Quality control in the field is owned by the Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up projects and basic budgets in the company system; help track bids and vendors.
• Support pre-construction logistics (permits, utilities, site readiness).
• Maintain project files and simple tracking logs; schedule inspections as directed.
• Coordinate routine communication with neighbors; route issues to the right team member.
• Serve as point of contact with the realtor/buyer for punch-list and warranty items.
• Assist with routine paperwork (invoices, COIs, permits) and general project updates.

Must-Have Skills

• Gantt (or similar) project setup, budgets, vendor/bid tracking—willing to train immediately.
• Organized, detail-driven file management; clear written/email follow-ups.
• Comfortable on-site: scheduling inspections, meeting utilities/surveyors, handling permits.
• Professional, calm communicator with neighbors, realtors, buyers, and trades.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction coordination/admin or similar role.
• Working knowledge of permits/inspections and trade paperwork
• Comfortable with basic project software and clear, professional communication.
• Valid driver's license; local travel to sites.
• Organized, reliable, and willing to learn quickly.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
