  • Translate manufacturing and quality requirements into well-structured, documented MES applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design electronic workflows that accurately reflect production routing, assembly steps, testing processes, and quality checkpoints.
  • Contribute to project scheduling including scope definition, task sequencing, and timeline estimation.
  • Report progress to leadership and proactively communicate risks or delays.
  • Propose solutions to maintain schedule targets and manage scope changes.
  • Develop test plans and support software product validation activities.
  • Implement new designs or enhancements to existing MES applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within existing automation or MES systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree
in Computer Science, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
in software development or MES application engineering.
  • Experience developing software within a process-oriented or regulated environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of automation or process control systems.
  • Experience working on Agile software teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tulip application development experience
    (highly desired).
  • Experience developing or configuring MES applications (Apriso, Tulip, or similar).
  • Experience in FDA/ISO-regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of C#, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • UX-focused software development experience.
  • Basic IT infrastructure or hardware knowledge.

Additional Notes

  • This role supports a manufacturing environment producing complex electromechanical devices (flow cytometers).
  • Work includes developing MES applications to support routing, assembly, integration, and test processes across multiple subassembly operations.
