Bedminster Veterinary Health Care is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care, veterinary procedures, and client communication. This role involves supporting veterinarians in clinical duties, providing exceptional pet care, and ensuring the well-being of animals including dogs and cats. Position Details
- Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: $ $21.00 per hour based on experience
- Schedule: 4-day work week.

Responsibilities Include:
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during examinations and procedures
- Prepare animals for surgeries or diagnostic tests, including X-ray positioning and aseptic techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records and document treatments using veterinary terminology
- Support pet owners with pet care advice and post-treatment instructions
- Manage animal intake and discharge procedures efficiently
- Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous kennel experience or animal handling experience preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care practices
- Experience with dog handling, dog training, pet grooming, and animal restraint techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques is advantageous
- Experience in veterinary critical care or laboratory work is a plus
- Strong understanding of animal husbandry, pet care, and animal anatomy knowledge
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Certification or prior experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is desirable but not mandatory
