Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will manage a full caseload of personal injury cases from intake through settlement and manage a pre-litigation team.

As a Pre-Litigation Attorney you will ensure that our clients get the best outcome by working to avoid time-consuming litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of personal injury matters from intake through potential settlement with the support of case managers, assistants, and specialized departments
• Supervise a team of pre-litigation staff, including case managers, assistants, demand writers, and settlement and lien negotiators
• Monitor team's work product and files for quality assurance purposes on a daily basis
• Drive case progression, ensure that deadlines are met, and adhere to firm financial goals and ethical and legal standards
• Draft and review demand letters, settlement proposals, and other legal documents
• Conduct case reviews for strengths and weaknesses and case strategy
• Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and treatment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a similar role at a Personal Injury Firm
• Demonstrated experience leading a team in a supervisory capacity
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent legal drafting skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and other parties involved in personal injury cases
• Ability to manage an independent caseload and produce high value settlement
• Bilingual preferred

Pay

Salary between $100,000 to $250,000 based on experience + Commission/Bonus Pay
