Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Alignment Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and a strong background in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance. This role involves performing precise wheel alignments, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring optimal vehicle performance for a variety of makes and models, including GM vehicles and diesel engines. The technician will utilize advanced tools and schematics to deliver high-quality service and support customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform wheel alignments using state-of-the-art alignment equipment, ensuring precision and safety standards are met.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs related to steering, suspension, and overall vehicle safety.
- Assist with ADAS calibrations and updates to ensure advanced driver-assistance systems function correctly.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, and fluid replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings effectively with customers.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a focus on automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Experience with wheel alignment procedures, ADAS calibration, schematics interpretation, and automotive electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service software.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles is preferred but not required; familiarity with auto estimating is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ASE certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
