Position Summary: This position plays a critical role in the construction and long-term operation of our new U.S. manufacturing facility. The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and managing all aspects of the site's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) system and will also oversee the maintenance of facility infrastructure and utilities.

In the project preparation and ramp-up phase, the EHS Supervisor will serve as the key liaison between the plant and local authorities (e.g., EPA, OSHA, fire department), supporting all necessary permits, registrations, and compliance approvals to ensure lawful project progression. Internally, this role will coordinate logistics and facility services (e.g., security, janitorial, building maintenance), while laying the foundation of the factory's safety and environmental systems through documentation, training, and emergency planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. EHS System Development & Compliance

  2. Establish and continuously improve the EHS management system and procedures to comply with U.S. regulations and internal company standards.

  3. Lead EHS risk assessments, safety inspections, corrective actions, and emergency response drills.
  4. Promote EHS awareness through training programs, internal communications, and ongoing audits.
  5. Coordinate inspections and communication with local and federal regulatory agencies to ensure full compliance throughout project and operations.

2. Site Safety Management & Operational Support

  • Monitor safe behavior, PPE usage, and equipment safety in all production and operating areas.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, and lead root cause reviews.
  • Manage hazardous materials, waste disposal, and other environmental compliance measures.

3. Facility & Utilities Maintenance

  • Develop and execute routine inspection and maintenance plans for buildings, electrical, water, compressed air, HVAC, fire protection, and other utility systems.
  • Coordinate with external maintenance providers and property management to ensure stable operations of factory and office facilities.
  • Support engineering teams on facility upgrades, site modifications, and basic infrastructure projects.

4. Government Coordination

  • Act as the primary contact for EHS-related permits, environmental filings, and compliance documentation with local/state/federal agencies during the startup phase.
  • Oversee factory support services such as security, cleaning, facility sanitation, and waste collection.
  • Draft and implement initial safety policies, emergency response plans, and organize basic EHS training for employees before full-scale production.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Culture Building

  • Work closely with HR and admin departments to promote health and safety culture, wellness programs, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations on EHS targets, implement continuous improvement actions to support operational excellence and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; prior experience with greenfield projects or facility setup is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable U.S. regulations.
  • Familiar with factory facility systems and utility infrastructure (e.g., power, water, HVAC, fire protection).
  • Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills with a proactive and accountable work ethic.
  • Fluent in English, capable of communicating effectively with both internal teams and external regulatory agencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $100,000.00 per year
