Exciting opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama! We are seeking an enthusiastic Order Picker to join our busy logistics warehouse. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our extensive inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your speed and precision are critical in ensuring timely and accurate shipments, directly contributing to our customer satisfaction and the success of our distribution network. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists, scanners, or voice-directed systems.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against customer order details.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Understand the importance of efficient order picking within the broader logistics flow.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners or other picking technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift regularly.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to using PPE.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
