As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse inventory and meticulously packing them for shipment. Your accuracy and efficiency are key to ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This is an active, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you'll contribute directly to the success of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick requested items from various warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning technology.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against customer orders before packing.
- Pack products carefully and securely, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Apply appropriate shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
- Follow all established safety guidelines, including the consistent use of required PPE.
- Achieve established productivity and quality standards for picking and packing.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Understand the critical role of picking and packing within the broader logistics framework.
- Undertake additional warehouse tasks as directed, which may involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret pick lists and/or operate scanning devices proficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Capability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
