Our state-of-the-art facility in San Antonio, Texas, is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, identifying and resolving mechanical issues, and ensuring all equipment meets Safety standards. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to Safety are paramount. We provide necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and expect strict adherence to all Safety protocols, including safe Lifting procedures when handling parts or materials. This is a critical role that supports the efficiency and reliability of our entire warehouse operation. If you have a knack for mechanics and ensuring operational uptime, join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, meeting regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including safe Lifting and lockout/tagout protocols.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when necessary.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while performing duties.
- Assist in training other staff on proper equipment operation and Safety.
- Support overall logistics operations through reliable equipment functionality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and comply with all Safety requirements.
