Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in Jacksonville, Florida, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse facility. This position requires a hands-on approach to equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and support for all warehouse activities. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with warehouse machinery, ensuring all equipment is in good working order, and contributing to the smooth flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Ensure all machinery is functioning safely and efficiently, conducting regular inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
- Maintain a stock of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new warehouse equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Support the logistics team with operational needs and troubleshooting.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure the workplace adheres to all PPE requirements.
- Provide assistance with general warehouse tasks, including some Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or maintenance role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations within a warehouse environment.
- Experience with various Lifting equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations and best practices.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
