We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our San Francisco, California location. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics process. Your duties will involve unloading deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received items. Maintaining an organized receiving area and communicating any discrepancies to supervisors are key aspects of this position. A strong focus on Safety and the correct use of PPE is essential. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. While direct experience is a plus, we value candidates with a strong work ethic and a commitment to contributing to our streamlined logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Notify supervisors of any shortages, damages, or other issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and utilize provided PPE.
- Assist with other duties in the warehouse as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with inventory systems and data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic logistics and receiving procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Must be reliable and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
