We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our Sacramento, California facility to manage the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. In this role, you will be responsible for both picking items from warehouse locations and preparing them for shipment. This dynamic position requires a blend of speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. You will utilize scanning technology to ensure orders are picked correctly and then meticulously package them to prevent damage during transit. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment are essential. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all protocols is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Pick customer orders accurately using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse shelves.
- Verify picked items against order details.
- Inspect items for quality and damage.
- Package orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Label packages for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Contribute to team goals and maintain productivity standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
