Seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics hub in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is vital for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the safe and efficient movement of materials. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, managing inventory, and ensuring that goods are handled with care. If you are a safety-conscious individual with a proven track record in warehouse environments, we want to hear from you. Your role will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and overall productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through scanning and manual counts.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, including traffic rules within the facility.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) diligently.
- Support warehouse team with other tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Proficiency in operating various forklift models.
- Ability to handle consistent Lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and accident prevention.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet performance targets.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
