As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist with stocking and order fulfillment. The proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times while operating equipment and working on the warehouse floor. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials and inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with order picking, stocking, and put-away tasks.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management systems.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
