Join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a Shipping Clerk! This role is critical for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining the integrity of our shipping process and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, and all employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures, including safe lifting techniques. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a growing logistics operation. Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and process outgoing shipments.
- Prepare accurate shipping labels and documentation.
- Package items securely and efficiently for transport.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure orders are complete and correct.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks or hand trucks for moving packages.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external partners.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
