Our busy warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, is looking for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. We are committed to a safe work environment and provide ongoing training to our employees. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential for success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to products and equipment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices in warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with a valid certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- A commitment to safety is paramount; all operators must follow safety guidelines diligently.
