In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the movement of goods within our extensive warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving and dispatching shipments, staging products for shipping, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. A key aspect of this job involves operating various types of forklifts, necessitating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safe practices. We prioritize a secure working environment, so strict adherence to safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack palletized materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport items to and from different areas of the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper put-away and retrieval.
- Follow all established safety rules and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in warehouse safety training and contribute to a safety-first culture.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, which may include lifting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Certification or proven ability to operate forklifts safely.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
