Join our dynamic team as a Receiving Clerk in San Jose, California! In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and processed. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies, and properly storing received items. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of Safety and efficiency. This position is essential to our Logistics operations, ensuring that our inventory is managed meticulously from the moment it arrives. We emphasize Safety in all our warehouse activities and provide the necessary PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received inventory into the system.
- Report any damages, shortages, or overages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Assist with inventory management tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with basic Logistics principles.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be willing to use designated PPE.
