We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our Sacramento, California warehouse. In this role, you will be integral to our inventory management process, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately documented and processed. Your responsibilities will include receiving shipments, verifying contents against orders, inspecting for damage, and inputting data into our system. This position is a vital component of our Logistics chain, guaranteeing the integrity of our stock. We maintain a strong focus on Safety and require all employees to use the designated PPE at all times. The role involves regular physical activity, including the Lifting and moving of packages. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in basic computer applications. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all incoming inventory accurately in the company's inventory management system.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE , such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Support efficient Logistics operations by ensuring timely processing of incoming goods.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and moving of boxes and containers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Experience with warehouse Logistics software is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and Lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
