We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy distribution center in Nashville, Tennessee. This critical role ensures that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and prepared for dispatch. You will be responsible for retrieving specified items from warehouse stock, verifying accuracy, and preparing them for the next stage in the logistics process. We prioritize a safe and efficient working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. This position requires physical agility and the capacity for frequent lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret order pick lists accurately.
- Navigate warehouse aisles to locate and retrieve correct items.
- Verify product information (SKU, quantity) against order details.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the designated staging or packing area.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies encountered.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting and bending movements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical stamina and mobility.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
