Are you an efficient and meticulous individual? We're looking for an Order Picker to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items to fulfill customer orders. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of inventory management will be vital to our success. This position is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. We pride ourselves on a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety standards, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and movement throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Receive pick lists or accurately interpret order information.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or shipping areas.
- Maintain organized work areas and assist with general warehouse upkeep.
- Operate picking equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing the appropriate PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of the entire logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting and bending.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills for interpreting pick lists.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
