Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Supervisor to oversee and coordinate construction projects within the civil engineering sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves supervising field teams, ensuring project schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety regulations. The Civil Supervisor will play a critical role in managing resources, reviewing blueprints and schematics, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities on civil projects in Chemical Plants & Oil Refineries.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Manage site safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards; conduct safety meetings and inspections regularly.
  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets industry standards and client specifications.
  • Supervise field personnel, providing guidance on technical tasks including the use of tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment.
  • Monitor project progress through detailed scheduling and resource allocation; update project schedules accordingly.
  • Ensure adherence to contracts, construction estimates, and project budgets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues early and implement corrective actions promptly.

Qualifications

  • Supervising experience in a construction environment is required; prior management of field teams preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and enforcement practices on construction sites.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with quality control processes is essential.
  • Excellent management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
