Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to oversee daily operations of a busy dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience for guests. The General Manager will also be responsible for implementing policies, managing budgets, and fostering a positive team environment in casual dining setting.
Pay: $60, $80,000.00 per year
Job description:
Leads daily operations, people, and performance. Owns P&L results, hiring and training, guest experience, food safety, and brand standards. Sets clear expectations, holds the team accountable, and drives sales, profitability, and culture.
Own Your Shifts
Take full responsibility for everything that happens during prep and service.
Do everything necessary and within your power to ensure daily operations are executed flawlessly and guests' expectations are consistently exceeded.
Work the Floor
Be present and engaged during prep times & service.
Consistently observe the front of house operations to understand where support is most needed and enlist necessary support while readily serving the team.
Lead by Example
Work alongside the team to showcase the company's values in every interaction.
Be the example of what you expect.
Take full ownership of the service, staff, building while cultivating a culture in which all employees care about every plate because they care about every guest.
Develop and operate systems and structures to help the teams thrive while continually improving efficiency of staff and systems.
Own Systems of Operation to Ensure Financial Success in the both Back & Front of House Operations
Managing daily operational costs, instilling good habits for purchasing, scheduling, waste mitigation, and labor management.
Collaboratively establish targets and utilize costing, pricing, and tracking systems to continually attack opportunities for improvement.
Preserve Tech & Equipment through Regular Maintenance and Repairs
Keep track of all maintenance programs and schedule regular cleanings and repairs if necessary.
Guarantee a Thriving Culture in the Front of House
Build a cohesive team based on Company Values
Ensure the restaurant is staffed for success and efficiency and oversee the training and scheduling of team members.
Establish goals, initiatives, and areas of focus with members of the back of house team while delegating tasks that elevate team members and enhance engagement.
Attend and Lead regular meetings, 1-1 conversations, and the annual review process.
