Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated BCBA Intern enrolled in an ABA Master's Program to support behavioral therapy services for individuals with developmental disabilities with autism. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in applied behavior analysis within a clinical setting, providing opportunities to develop skills in patient assessment, data collection, and behavioral intervention under supervision. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and individuals with disabilities and eager to contribute to positive outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Duties
- Assist in conducting behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients with developmental disabilities.
- Support the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles.
- Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment efficacy, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Observe therapy sessions and provide feedback to supervising clinicians to enhance treatment quality.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including patient records, intake forms, and progress notes, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment adjustments, and case planning.
- Support patient care activities by engaging with clients during therapy sessions while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all medical terminology standards and documentation protocols.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an ABA Master's Program or related field with coursework in applied behavior analysis.
- Experience or familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques, especially within special education or behavioral health settings.
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and documentation of behavioral interventions.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, intake procedures, and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated interest in patient care, behavioral health services, and diagnostic evaluation processes. This internship provides valuable clinical experience for aspiring Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) while supporting meaningful therapeutic interventions for clients in need.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
