Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency in line with established recipes and standards
  • Lead kitchen operations during shifts, supervising team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
  • Manage food inventory, control stock levels, and oversee ordering to minimize waste while maintaining freshness
  • Plan menus for various occasions, including fine dining events, banquets, and catering services
  • Enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities
  • Oversee dietary requirements and accommodate special requests with attention to detail
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless food service and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety guidelines
  • Train new team members in culinary techniques, safety protocols, and customer service excellence

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining, catering, or banquet settings
  • Proven supervisory experience managing kitchen teams effectively
  • Strong background in food production, menu planning, and inventory control
  • Expertise in food safety practices and sanitation standards within the food industry
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Skilled in kitchen management including shift scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
  • Knowledge of dietary accommodations and special dietary department procedures
  • Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments with a focus on exceptional service delivery
  • Proficiency in food handling, cooking techniques, and food service management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
