Bartender

The Courtside Lounge is the newest neighborhood sports bar in Santa Monica.

Position Overview

We're looking for a bartender who can bring strong hospitality, great pacing, and a positive attitude behind the bar. You'll be making cocktails, engaging with guests, handling high-volume rushes during games, and keeping the bar running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and deliver friendly, attentive service
• Make cocktails, pour beer and wine, and follow The Courtside Lounge drink recipes and standards
• Create a fun, relaxed atmosphere while maintaining professionalism
• Check IDs and follow all California RBS + ABC rules
• Handle POS transactions quickly and accurately
• Restock and maintain the bar: garnishes, juices, ice, glassware, liquor, mixers, etc.
• Keep the bar clean and guest-ready at all times
• Communicate inventory/low-stock items to management
• Help with opening and closing duties, including cleanup and prep for the next shift

Qualifications

• 21+ and eligible to serve alcohol in California
• Bartending experience preferred — especially in busy, high-energy bars
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay calm during game-time rushes
• Solid knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and basic cocktails
• Great communication and guest-service mindset

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs
