Materials Manager Opportunity Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead logistics operations and ensure outstanding service delivery for a key government contract. This role is critical in overseeing warehouse and base operations, managing inventory flow, and aligning with corporate and government partners to meet all contractual obligations. You will lead a high-performing team and serve as the primary liaison between internal departments and our military customer.

Job Duties:

  • Champion a strong safety culture by maintaining facilities and equipment to OSHA and corporate standards.
  • Manage daily operations at both the warehouse and military base.
  • Oversee the shipping, receiving, and storage of parts and inventory, including conducting regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure compliance with all government contractor security requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with military and contract representatives to meet program goals.
  • Collaborate with divisional and corporate leadership to review performance and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as HR, IT, and Accounting to support operational goals.
  • Proactively resolve customer and employee issues with a focus on long-term satisfaction and performance.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Background in government contracting required.
  • Proven leadership or management experience.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
