Security Officer

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or potential threats.
• Control access points by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, including conflicts or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
• Perform routine patrols around the premises to identify vulnerabilities, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations related to theft, vandalism, or other incidents.
• Conduct safety checks and provide first aid or CPR when required, demonstrating preparedness for medical emergencies.

Experience

• Prior experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques is essential.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; candidates with these qualifications will be prioritized.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Familiarity with security protocols, law enforcement procedures, and emergency response strategies.
