QA/Operations Engineer III

About the Opportunity:

The organization is a global leader in cybersecurity, operating large-scale distributed systems and serving clients across diverse industries. The QA/Operations Engineer will join the software interoperability lab team, focusing on maintaining and executing test infrastructure, analyzing test results, troubleshooting, and managing system OS images and third-party applications.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and troubleshoot failures of test cases or crashes in products and related applications

• Identify root causes related to application compatibility or environment issues within test frameworks

• Analyze application and environment problems and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues

• Escalate reproducible software issues to product development teams

• Troubleshoot and remediate alerts from lab monitoring systems to maintain test environment uptime

• Research software needs and draft test plans

• Administer lab machines including both physical hardware and virtual machines

• Create and update golden images for operating system configurations with desktop and server software

• Manually run product test cases as needed for environment validation

Requirements:

• 4+ years of manual QA testing experience, including test case creation, execution, and defect management

• Basic understanding of DevOps practices

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible

• Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot test failures

• Proficiency with test management tools (TestRail/Xray) and defect tracking systems (Jira)

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Solid grasp of software testing methodologies: functional, regression, automation, and integration

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, or similar)

• Familiarity with Python and shell scripting

• Experience in Agile development environments

• Comfortable working with Windows, Linux, and Mac systems
