Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of repair, maintenance, and preventative tasks to ensure that all Citrus Cardiology facilities across Florida remain safe, operational, and in excellent working order. This role involves traveling between locations, responding to maintenance requests, and supporting daily facility operations to provide a high-quality environment for patients, staff, and providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and minor carpentry.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and complete corrective actions promptly.
  • Address urgent maintenance requests, including troubleshooting equipment, fixtures, or system failures.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out for all relevant equipment and building systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors when specialized services are required.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Travel as needed to assigned Citrus Cardiology locations throughout Florida, managing work orders across multiple sites.
  • Respond quickly to facility-related emergencies to minimize disruption of patient care and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and healthcare facility safety standards.
  • Assist with office modifications, furniture installation, and relocation tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in building maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or medical office environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and use diagnostic tools to solve complex facility issues.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with reliable transportation for travel between clinic locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends required for urgent repairs or projects.
  • Travel across multiple Citrus Cardiology locations in Central Florida will be required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
