Role Description

This is a full-time Data Analyst position, based in Tallahassee, FL. The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data, building and maintaining data models, and identifying actionable insights. Daily tasks may also include preparing reports, visualizing data, and presenting findings to key stakeholders. Collaboration and clear communication with cross-functional teams will be crucial for success.

Qualifications

• Skill and proficiency in Crystal Reports Business Objects
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, DTS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers
• Experience with SQL relational databases, OLTP and DSS, serving in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments
• Experience with configuration management (SourceSafe administration) for SQL database objects
• Some Experience in Data Modeling (database design tools including ERWin and ERStudio)
• Experience independently analyzing and interpreting table structures and relationships to develop complex queries and reports.
• Experience with database navigational and analysis tools, and the ability to recommend the appropriate tool for the appropriate data infrastructure complexity
• Experience with developing queries and reporting against complex relational databases with preference given to experience with Crystal Reports and ASP to deliver such queries and reports
• Experience with data integrity evaluation, taking corrective action on identified data problems, and assisting with implementing data quality checks during data intake

Tasks

• develop ad-hoc queries on database schema
• modify MS SQL T-SQL language
• modify MS SQL Database Storage structures tables
• modify MS SQL tables view indexes
• develop ad-hoc queries on MS SQL Databases
• work directly with the OIT to manage production promotion for Crystal BO reports
• provide analytical services for system incidents and enhancements
• process defect tickets to correct system errors within two business days
• provide analytical services on systems to implement user-defined report requirements monthly
• provide analytical services on systems to identify data integrity issues
• facilitate collection of report requirements with the business program staff
• deliver code to perform reporting functions as defined in user requirements
• document report requirements, business processes, and system processes
• perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements
• facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff
• facilitate meetings with technical and program staff (scheduling meetings, document decisions, identify issues and action items
• produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements and system changes
• produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements monthly
• provide analytical services on Department's OIT processes to identify operational efficiencies

This will be a W2 position with Alltech Consulting working on client site. Pay range to be between $68-70/Hr as W2. We will consider Corp to Corp. This is an ON-SITE position (NO EXCEPTIONS). Candidate MUST reside within 30 minutes of Tallahassee, Florida.
