Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring that guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, supporting the kitchen and serving staff while engaging with guests to promote guest satisfaction. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guest tables efficiently and accurately
• Assist servers by bussing tables and clearing dishes as needed
• Ensure that all food items are presented attractively and meet quality standards before delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service station and dining area
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary restrictions
• Support food preparation tasks when necessary, including basic plating or garnishing
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order accuracy and timely service
• Adhere to food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
• Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet or special event services if required
• Provide excellent guest services by being attentive, courteous, and responsive to guest needs

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and food presentation techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
• Experience with banquet service, bussing, or kitchen operations is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Basic culinary knowledge or hotel experience is beneficial but not required
