Project Overview
Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
Job Summary
In this role, you will perform routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and support the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, preparation of cost data, and the project trend program. You will assist with budget allocation and developing quantity takeoffs, project codes, and application unit rates. Your work will help ensure projects stay on budget and excel.
Major Responsibilities
- Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed
- Supports the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
- Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
- Supports the preparation of cost data for proposals or contracts
- Assists in the development of quantity takeoffs for a specific discipline or specialty
- Assists in developing specific project codes of accounts and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions
- Supports the project trend program
- Assists in the development and application of unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs
Education And Experience Requirements
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis at a jobsite location. Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in using PC operating systems, including several basic software applications.
- Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used by Bechtel (Ecosys, Hyperion, Digital Supply Chain, for example). Knowledge of financial report systems and controller
