Duties

  • Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety regulations.
  • Cook a variety of dishes using appropriate techniques, including knife skills, food preparation, and cooking methods suited for different cuisines.
  • Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food, setting up buffet stations, and serving guests efficiently.
  • Maintain kitchen organization by managing inventory, rotating stock, and ensuring all equipment is clean and operational.
  • Serve meals with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent food service that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Participate in food safety audits and ensure compliance with all health regulations to uphold the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods while maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings.
  • Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in food handling safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
  • Experience working in fine dining establishments or high-end restaurants is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and serve guests courteously.
