We are a growing Florida-based behavioral health private practice dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care through virtual (and optional in-person) therapy services. Our mission is to support clinicians with flexibility, autonomy, and guidance while empowering them to do their best work.
We offer individual, couples, family, and relationship-focused therapy using evidence-based modalities, and we partner with payers to secure the best reimbursement rates for our providers.
About the Role
Strong Mind Mental Health is hiring Licensed Clinicians in Florida who value collaboration, inclusivity, and work-life balance. We are specifically seeking therapists who are:
- LGBTQIA+ affirming (required)
- Specialized in or interested in specializing in LGBTQIA+ mental health, identity development, gender-affirming care, sexual health, and inclusive relationship work
- Willing to work evenings and/or weekends (flexible scheduling available)
- Passionate about supporting diverse couples, intimacy concerns, relationship dynamics, and growth-oriented therapy
Professional Development Opportunity:
We proudly invest in our clinicians. For the right candidate, we offer a professional development stipend to support pursuit of sex therapy certification or similar advanced training.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and/or family counseling sessions
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop client-centered treatment plans
- Use evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to client goals
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with team members as needed to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
- Contribute to occasional practice-related blogs or social media content (optional)
- Uphold all ethical standards, legal requirements, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Florida license required: PsyD, PhD, LMFT, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LMHP
- Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy
- Must maintain professional licensure and liability insurance
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle crisis or high-stress situations professionally
- HIPAA-compliant and confidentiality-focused
- Insurance panel credentialing (Florida Blue, United Healthcare, Optum, Aetna, Cigna, Oscar) preferred but not required
- Spanish-speaking preferred but not required
- Experience with LGBTQIA+, couples, or sex therapy populations is a plus
Requirements
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 10 clients
- Comfortable working remotely
- Ability to communicate effectively via Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Reliable internet connection and a confidential workspace
Compensation
Compensation is based on licensure and insurance reimbursement rates.
Pay Range: $50–$90 per hour.
(Pay may increase as payer rates evolve.)
