Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Childcare Provider to support the care and development of children in our educational and daycare settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, and support children's emotional and educational growth. This role is essential in fostering positive experiences for children while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and attentive caregiving.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead childcare providers in supervising children during daily routines, playtime, meals, and nap times.
- Support classroom management by engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by following proper safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Help facilitate educational activities aligned with early childhood education standards, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care programs.
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions among children.
- Assist with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean environment.
- Provide nurturing care to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages growth and exploration.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism.
- A genuine passion for caregiving, teaching, and supporting children's growth through nurturing interactions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
