Skyward Consultants is seeking a
Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee client accounting operations, review and refine work prepared by junior team members, and drive process improvements across multiple entities and systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Managing month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation across multiple clients
• Reviewing and finalizing work completed by staff and junior team members, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Building and maintaining dashboards and management reports for client leadership teams
• Coordinating with external auditors, tax preparers, and client executives during reporting and compliance cycles
• Leading internal process documentation and contributing to firmwide best practices and automation initiatives
• Implementing and optimizing accounting systems and process improvements
• Collaborating with team members to support ongoing projects and strategic initiatives
• Providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback to junior staff to support their technical and professional development

Required Hard Skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Thorough understanding of accrual accounting, managerial accounting and GAAP principles
• Experience preparing and analyzing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Proficiency using Spreadsheets (pivot tables, formulas, basic data principles)
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies within complex datasets

Preferred Hard Skills

• Familiarity with accounting workflow systems
• Experience with integrating QuickBooks Online with 3rd party software (Payroll Platforms, Project Management systems,
