About Us: We are passionate about making a difference in the world of workers' compensation. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional case management services to ensure injured workers receive the care and support they need to return to work safely and efficiently. We believe in the power of purpose and passion, and we are looking for a Regional Director of Case Management who shares our commitment to making a positive impact.

Purpose: The purpose of the Regional Director of Case Management is to lead a high-performing team of field case managers in delivering trusted, compassionate care coordination that drives optimal recovery outcomes and supports timely return-to-work. This role fosters a culture grounded in the VONA Commitments to Excellence and operationalizes our "how" — by ensuring ease of use, professional communication, urgency, and passion with integrity in every interaction. The Regional Director also partners with Sales to support strategic growth, and they leverage clinical expertise to guide decisions, and ensures all practices remain compliant with regulatory standards and aligned with our clients' expectations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and operational oversight to a team of Field Case Managers, ensuring adherence to best practices, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Exercise discretion in reviewing, assigning, and managing case referrals based on complexity, caseload, and staff expertise.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for complex cases, offering guidance and support to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Monitor regional performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular case reviews and audits to ensure documentation accuracy, timeliness, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement regional goals, training initiatives, and quality improvement plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including employers, insurance carriers, and medical providers, to support case resolution and service excellence.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of new case managers within the region.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and clinical advancements in case management and workers' compensation.
  • Maintain all required professional licenses and certifications in good standing.
  • Prepare and submit regional reports and performance summaries as requested by leadership.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of case management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, make independent decisions, and oversee complex clinical operations.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation systems, medical terminology, and case management protocols.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with performance monitoring, quality assurance, and staff development.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Multilingual proficiency is a plus.

Why VONA: We are driven by a shared purpose: to improve the lives of our clients and provide exceptional care in the Case Management Workers Compensation Industry. We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment where your passion for financial excellence and dedication to making a difference will be valued and rewarded. Join us in our mission to create positive change and be part of a team that truly is making an impact.
