Job Summary
We are an Orthopedic practice seeking skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technologists to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role is crucial in providing high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in imaging principles, collaboration with physicians and staff, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Consistently performs quality Radiology procedures with complete and thorough knowledge of Radiology principles.
• Operate X-ray equipment for orthopedic care to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
• Coordinates patient relations, ensuring a high quality of patient service is delivered.
• Makes casts and splints by bending, forming and shaping materials to prescribed specifications. Fit, test and evaluate applications on patients and makes adjustments for proper fit, function and comfort.
• Helps fit patient's with DME ordered by the physician
• Maintains work area with appropriate supplies to perform job.
• At the beginning of the shift, supply area with the items necessary to perform daily tasks and functions.
• At the end of the shift, returns all supplies to the appropriate area.
• Always advise supervisor of any items needed from the storeroom or vendor.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Stay current with advancements in medical terminology and imaging technology.
• Performs computer functions accurately and completely.
• Reports any equipment problems, safety issues, or patient complaints immediately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating X-ray machines and understanding of diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology and imaging procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program
• Successfully passed the American Registry of Radiologist Technologist (ARRT)
