SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Director of Testing, the incumbent coordinates and oversees all day-to-day aspects of the administration of a range of standardized testing activities conducted in a centralized testing center, to include development and coordination of testing program policies and procedures. The incumbent will enter data into the Temple College system as well as TSTC system.

Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience, or an Associate's Degree with four (4) years of directly related work experience. Part-time work experience will be pro-rated but the total must equal the minimum requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the College Testing Center.
  • Maintain inventory of secure test materials.
  • Coordinate scheduling of facilities and personnel of all tests.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies-paper, ink, equipment, etc.
  • Administer and proctor tests which include:

  • Placement Test – TSI Assessment.

    • Set up the test to match TC TSI plan and update as necessary.
    • Check students in, check TSI status, log students into the test and monitor student testing.
    • Enter test scores into Ellucian (Datatel) and set up TSI plan.
    • Keep inventory of test and restock as necessary.
    • Maintain individual and monthly testing reports.
    • GED/Pearson VUE

    • Serve as Test Site Administrator for GED exam (certification required).

    • Set GED testing schedule each year so as not to coincide with campus holidays, final exam schedules, and other high-capacity testing periods.
    • Follow strict administration policies for GED testing.
    • Check students in and monitor during testing.
    • Administer other Pearson VUE tests as needed/requested.
    • Allied Health Admissions Test – HESI A2 and TEAS V.

    • Administer HESI A2 and TEAS V exams as needed during specified testing periods set by each program.

    • Set up computers for test to be administered.
    • Set up test for administration according to Nursing Department and Allied Health specifications.
    • Administer and monitor testing.
    • Credit by Examination – AP, IB, CLEP, DSST.

    • Receive scores and communicate with the student the necessary score to receive credit.

    • Post credit-by-exam scores to student's transcripts.
    • Work with the Director of Testing to become an authorized CLEP and DSST testing site.
    • College Course and Distance Learning Testing – Online, Hybrid, VCT, and other exams from other institutions.

    • Receive test or test instructions from instructors- personally delivered, email, regular mail and fax.

    • Prepare test and/or computers as needed.
    • Log in, enter passwords, and prepare to return to instructors.
    • Other Proctored Exams-certification testing, out-of-state placement testing, etc.

    • Receive test or test instructions from entity, testing company, or administrator-personally delivered, email, regular mail, and fax.

    • Prepare test and/or computers as needed.
    • Log in, enter passwords, and return materials as needed.
    • Special Accommodations.

    • Create and monitor scheduled appointments for special accommodations.

    • Monitor quiet room, special equipment, software, reader, and scribes, etc.
    • Work closely with the Office of Student Accommodations.
    • TSI Plan;
  • Monitor the plan is being followed and students are placed correctly.

  • Adjust student's TSI status as necessary based on courses taken, transcripts received, test scores received, or change of degree plan.
  • Responsible for scanning and retrieval of documents.
  • Provide academic advising and registration as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Primarily light physical activity is required with occasional lifting and manipulation of objects up to 25 pounds. Position requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Keyboard manipulation and data entry for extended periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
All work is performed in an office setting. Duties will require travel in personal or school owned vehicles. This position will require evening and/or weekend work during peak times or special occasions.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
With a one hour lunch break.

Summer Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm
With a 30 minute lunch break.

This is an on-site position. Essential duties of the role must be performed in-person, during prescribed work hours.
