About The Role
The Research Data Analyst II plays a vital role in supporting enterprise-wide research activities at AdventHealth Orlando. The primary responsibility involves developing and maintaining reports, scorecards, and dashboards that facilitate research study protocols, reviews, and feasibility assessments. This position requires analyzing both qualitative and quantitative clinical, financial, and administrative data from multiple sources, synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable reports and presentations. The analyst will serve as a system-wide Honest Broker, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines for data de-identification and limited data set delivery. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with research staff and leadership to develop performance measurement tools, improve analytic products, and support strategic decision-making through detailed data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis or related roles
- Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 1 year of experience (preferred)
- Experience working within healthcare organizations is highly desirable
- Epic Clinical Data Model Certification (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data mining, extraction, validation, and reporting
- Knowledge of research regulations and data delivery guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with research and leadership teams
- Ability to manage complex datasets from multiple sources and deliver meaningful insights
Responsibilities
- Retrieve, organize, validate, and deliver data supporting research study protocols and feasibility assessments
- Conduct regular data mining and extraction from enterprise data warehouses to support research activities
- Serve as a system-wide Honest Broker, ensuring adherence to data privacy and regulatory standards
- Develop subject matter expertise in research operations, regulations, and data delivery methodologies
- Collaborate with research staff to develop and maintain performance measurement processes, including KPI development and dashboard deployment
- Interact with research personnel and leadership to understand protocol specifications and data requirements
- Define research data elements and identify optimal data sources and extraction methodologies
- Manage complex datasets by aggregating, cleaning, and validating data for reporting and analysis
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that support research initiatives and organizational insights
- Conduct financial and operational analyses to assist in strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with analytics team members to enhance analytic products and tools
