Job Summary
Join our dynamic transportation team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver In this vital role, you will be the friendly, professional face that ensures patients and clients arrive safely and comfortably to their medical appointments, errands, or community activities. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and commercial vans to transport clients to medical appointments, pharmacies, or community events.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns.
  • Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility aids or luggage, ensuring comfort and safety during transfers.
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures diligently to guarantee a secure transportation experience for every passenger.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in patient transport services is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver; familiarity with paratransit is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients and team members.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including moderate lifting and assisting passengers with mobility challenges.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance daily checklist, basics and safety protocols to ensure optimal vehicle operation.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Must meet all state licensing requirements for commercial driving are advantageous. Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
