Role Overview:
The Technician in the Cross-Training Program is responsible for supporting multiple ivisions within the company by performing equipment preparation, mechanical assembly, maintenance, and material handling. This entry-level, hands-on role works under supervision and offers the opportunity to learn and rotate across divisions, gaining exposure to a variety of environmental treatment systems and construction projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, a team player, and eager to develop technical and operational skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Basic mechanical or construction experience (plumbing, carpentry, or similar preferred).
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel locally.
Some exposure to environmental or industrial work is preferred; training is provided.
OSHA10 – 40 hour training preferred (will be provided if needed).
Dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements
Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable with manual labor, standing for extended periods, bending, and climbing.
Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other shop equipment (training provided).
Willingness to work in shop, yard, or field environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Routine Maintenance: Assist with inspection, cleaning, grinding, painting,
and general upkeep of equipment.
Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other material handling machinery.
Mechanical Assembly & Project Support: Perform basic assembly, bolting, and preparation tasks using hand and power tools.
Prepare Equipment for Rental: Load/unload materials, restock components, and prepare equipment including carbon loading and cleaning.
Material Delivery & Pickup: Transport materials to job sites and between divisions as required.
Assist Across Divisions: Support operations in various areas, gaining cross-functional exposure and training.
Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, including proper PPE usage.
Maintain Clean Work Environment: Sweep, power wash, remove snow, and perform general shop and yard housekeeping.
Document Activities: Complete work orders, record maintenance, and track equipment preparation accurately.
Participate in Cross-Training: Engage in rotation among divisions to develop skills and prepare for broader responsibilities.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
