About Cabot-Managed Properties
Since 2022, Cabot has managed the strategy and operations of four exceptional golf courses across the United States, including Cascata and Serket in Las Vegas, Nevada, Grand Bear in Saucier, Mississippi, and Chariot Run in Laconia, Indiana.
Position Overview
The Head Golf Professional must promote the facility professionally and assist guests in various capacities throughout their visit. Additionally, the Head Golf Professional will support the General Manager in promoting the game of golf, caddy program management, oversee Guest Services and Golf Operations, and report to the General Manager.

- Oversee Golf Operations and Guest Services, caddies, including budgeting, strategic planning, merchandising, daily operational execution, and ensuring all departments operate efficiently and in alignment with facility standards.
- Serve in a supervisory role responsible for decisions that support the well-being of the facility, uphold team member expectations, and sustain an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead all staffing functions for Golf Operations and Guest Services, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, cross-training, and maintaining clear performance expectations and standards.
- Provide structured training programs, resources, and consistent on the job coaching to ensure team members are fully prepared for their roles and able to deliver dependable service.
- Address performance concerns promptly using CMP's progressive discipline policy and conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and operational priorities.
- Set, communicate, and uphold high service standards, ensuring all team members deliver warm, friendly, and service oriented interactions with guests at every touchpoint.
- Manage pace of play, staffing levels, and facility coverage to ensure consistently positive guest experience and maximize service opportunities throughout the day.
- Manage caddy services by working closely with the Caddy Master to ensure quality control, monitor caddy performance, appearance, and professionalism, and maintain consistent communication between caddies and the golf operations team regarding tee times, bag drops, special requests, and weather updates.
- Respond to guest concerns in a timely manner, provide corrective solutions, and keep the General Manager informed of notable issues or actions taken.
- Collaborate closely with Food and Beverage and other departments to support a seamless guest journey, positive working relationships, and smooth operational flow across the property.
- Plan and execute golf groups, outings, tournaments, and special events by coordinating logistics, supporting Event Sales, attending BEO meetings, and ensuring superior service throughout each event.
- Prepare all tournament and event materials, including pairings, rule sheets, cart signs, scorecards, and contest details, while managing customer relationships.
- Oversee tee sheet operations and sales to maximize revenue, monitor booking trends, adjust staffing in alignment with demand, and lead the team in achieving sales targets.
- Manage all retail and merchandising activities in the golf shop, including product selection, pricing, inventory management, presentation standards, and timely system entry of new merchandise.
- Ensure the facility, golf cart fleet, and outdoor service areas remain clean, safe, organized, and maintained while communicating course conditions promptly to the Superintendent and General Manager.
- Maintain a respectable game of golf and maintain a dress code and professional conduct at all times.
- Represent the facility with professionalism, strong hospitality skills, a positive and engaging presence, and respected leadership that reflects the values of the sport and the surrounding community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Class A PGA Member in good standing
- 5+ years of experience at high-end golf facilities
- 3+ years as a Head Professional
- Ability to create plans, set goals and achieve targets
- Demonstrated ability to build a team, motivate team members and participate in team environment
- Strong ability to train and develop team members
- Demonstrated results-oriented ability and capable of working with minimal direction
- Strong ability to work with deadlines
- Demonstrated strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Personable and well groomed
