About Us

Ashley is America's largest furniture manufacturer and a global retail leader. We've been committed to delivering beautiful, quality home furnishings at an accessible price point for over 75 years. Now, we're evolving our brand to meet the changing lifestyles of today's consumers. This is an exciting time to join the team and make a real impact. You'll be part of a transformation, working with passionate professionals who are reshaping an industry and creating meaningful connections between our products and the lives they enhance.

Position Summary

The
Campaign Strategy Manager
ensures Ashley's hero initiatives are framed as defining cultural moments, not just product launches. This role builds the overarching storylines that give campaigns their emotional power, translating brand pillars and seasonal POVs into campaign strategy that inspire consumers and elevate Ashley's perception in the market.

By owning the "story spine" of each campaign, this leader ensures consistency across channels while leaving space for creativity in execution. Working cross-functionally, the Campaign Strategy Manager aligns Merchandising, Creative, and Integrated Marketing around a unifying campaign strategy that drives both cultural relevance and commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development

  • Lead the macro strategic narrative, turning audience, cultural, and business insights into clear direction that transforms ideas into action and action into results.
  • Own campaign-level storytelling arcs end-to-end, from early concepting and narrative shaping through activation, ensuring every campaign has clarity, purpose & emotional pull.
  • Translate seasonal brand POVs into integrated campaign strategies that elevate hero products, reinforce brand positioning, and unlock new customer segments.
  • Create story frameworks and messaging hierarchies that balance creativity with commercial accountability—making complex insights simple, usable, and actionable.
  • Partner closely with creative to shape scripts, visual edits, voice, tone, and overall aesthetic direction, ensuring every touchpoint communicates a cohesive, compelling story.
  • Blend data, creativity, and cross-functional insights to uncover the "why" behind behavior and inform strategic decisions that fuel brand growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work hand-in-hand with Integrated Marketing to translate strategic direction into holistic, omnichannel plans that deliver consistency across paid, owned, earned, and in-store experiences.
  • Collaborate with Merch teams to ensure campaign narratives reflect product priorities, customer needs, and selling strategies—grounding storytelling in commercial realities.
  • Champion cross-functional alignment, bringing big-picture clarity into fast-paced environments and helping teams move through ambiguity toward clear next steps.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, working with partners who genuinely care about what they're creating and ensuring strategies scale efficiently and cohesively.

Content & Executional Guidance

  • Align PR, Social, Retail, and Brand partners around a unified strategic vision, ensuring every team is telling the same story and amplifying the brand with clarity and relevance at every touchpoint.
  • Provide Strategy briefs for creative, channel, and content teams.
  • Ensure every campaign delivers a clear central idea across all formats (film, digital, print, experiential).
  • Partner with Consumer & Competitive Insights to root campaign strategies in audience and market truths.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years in campaign strategy, brand storytelling, or creative development (retail, lifestyle, or fashion preferred).
  • Proven ability to build culturally relevant campaign strategies that deliver measurable business results.
  • Experience partnering across Creative, Marketing, and Merchandising.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance big-picture creative vision with commercial and operational realities.
