Overview
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our independent community pharmacy team in Glendale The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of community pharmacy operations. This role focuses on overseeing daily workflow, supporting pharmacists, maintaining accuracy and timeliness, and ensuring exceptional patient service.

Candidates should be efficient with time, quick to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. Armenian-speaking candidates and those local to 91203 are strongly preferred.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technician staff to maintain an efficient, organized workflow.
  • Assist with filling/production and processing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide exceptional customer service both in-person and over the phone, helping patients promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate medication records, labeling, and prescription documentation.
  • Manage inventory, restock medications, and handle returns, expiration, and ordering support.
  • Ensure compliance with all California Board of Pharmacy regulations related to medication handling, storage, and documentation.
  • Train and mentor new or existing pharmacy technicians in community-pharmacy procedures and safety standards.
  • Support pharmacists with medication-related tasks under direct supervision.
  • Assist with improving workflow efficiencies and implementing new processes or training as needed.
  • Uphold timeliness and reliability in all daily responsibilities, including arriving to work on time and completing tasks within expected timeframes.
  • Helping with pickup or packing deliveries.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of prescription processing experience preferred
  • 1–2 years of filling/production experience preferred
  • Active California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, SIG codes, and medication terminology
  • Excellent patient service skills, with a focus on empathy and professionalism
  • Ability to lead a team while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fast learner with strong time-management skills; able to multitask efficiently
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., DigitialRX, Cerner, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy retail setting
  • Armenian speaker preferred
  • Local candidates within or near Glendale 91203 strongly preferred
  • Timeliness, reliability, and consistent attendance are essential

This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, accurate medication dispensing and delivering outstanding service to our community. We are looking for motivated individuals committed to excellence in community pharmacy practice.

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
