Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Handle food products with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
• Support kitchen team members in various tasks such as plating, serving, and restocking supplies
• Ensure timely delivery of orders to customers or service areas
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient inventory management as needed
• Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols during food preparation and service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or restaurant setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food handling are desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Prior experience in the food industry or culinary roles is advantageous
• Knowledge of food service operations, including serving and food presentation, is beneficial

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
